I know there's been a lot of posts out there on this topic (done searches here and on LS1.com), but I have a more specific question.
I'm currently in the process of scheduling a new cam only install on my 99 A4 during the next few weeks. The cam specs are 216 single pattern, .538 lift, and 114 LSA. (see sig for other mods already done)
I'm planning reprogramming, but I'm not sure when S. Cole will be getting to my PP II  (sent out mid January).
Based on the cam specs, if I get the install before Steve gets my PL back, will the car be driveable? I don't want to drill any TB holes, etc., so I'm just wondering if the car will idle ok and such.
Appreciate any comments or help. Maybe somebody can put in a good word to Steve for me. :yesnod:

I don't think you will have any problems with idle or drivability with that camshaft and no PCM programming. Steve Cole will probably just raise your idle slightly.
Hey Matt, how have you been? Thanks for the response.
That is what I'm expecting, but wanting others to back up my thoughts.
Hope to see you at one of the BG/BB autocrosses coming up.

Well, with my cam the car was not drivable. Everytime I stopped at a light, the car would die. The only solution was to drill a small hole in the throttle body, which I will repair later. The cars dies now and then, but it is very drivable. I am waiting on Steve Cole and he is only 5 miles from me.

I have been pretty good Bob! How about yourself? I see you are lookin to get some more power!! :D
I will be in BG on Memorial Day Weekend for the Cruise-in, and of COURSE I will be at the AutoX! Make sure you drag Steve along too and come to Roscoe's BBQ on Friday night at the Baymont!
My cam and heads just came in and we're waiting on the rest of the goodies before taking the top off the motor. My cam is specifically ground to be streetable, put down motor power, but really light it up on nitrous. We will absolutely be doing custom PCM programming to fine tune the behaviour.
