Default Heads?

Hello, I am looking for opinions on which set of Patriot head I should buy for my car. I have a 1999 ls1 vette, with the following mods. VRX3 cam 226/228 .585/.588 114lsa. BBK intake and throttle body. LT's and Vortex rammer CAI. Running stock length pushrods. I am leaning towards the 5.3/ls1 head, will they work alright or should I go with the 243/ls6 head? Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks a million.

p.s. Which gaskets and head bolts should I use for either head?

Dan

PP 243 LS6 Heads, hands down.

if you dont have the BBK intake and TB go with the FAST 92/92 much more reliable and far better track record.

Good Luck

Hello, I have a BBK intake and TB. If I go with the 243 ls6 head what head gasket do I need? Ls1 or Ls6? or are they the same. Same for headbolts, same for a Ls1 and Ls6?

oh wait, you have a 99 LS1. Look for heads that have the same head bolt design

the 243 heads 'may not fit'

from 2001 and on all the blocks were LS6 blocks and head bolt design

243 heads will fit any LS1.

Would I use LS1 head gaskets or LS6? Or are they the same? Maybe I will give Patriot performance a call and talk to them when I order.
Thanks for the replies.

The 02-later MLS gaskets would be desirable.
