I have my battery in the rear ps box. fit tight. My ground i ran up to the ps seat bolt in the rear. The main wire I ran 0 guage from the starter straight back to the battery. Then the old battery wire from the starter to the pos post at the outside fuse panel. Cheap and effective

Did you put the battery in any kind of box? I do NOT want to go with a smaller battery. Coukd you post a pic of your setup?
Anyways, this guy had a separate tank for oil, and he ran a vacuum line to the inlet on the vacuum pump. The idea was, if he wasn't pulling enough oil vapor from the crank case the separate tank fed oil to the pump, keeping it lubricated. He said it pulled about a shot glass worth in a 50 mile trip. I drive my car daily when the weather is good so I need to plan for a higher capacity. I want to make a reserve for the same thing that will hold about a quart of oil, and I want a vented dump tank for the vacuum pump to empty into. I was also thinking of making an overflow for the dump tank that would go to the oil feed if it was full. Oil could get recycled through the vacuum pump but there would be no way for the oil to get back into the actual crank case itself. I wish I could post pics, but the ones I took are on my blackberry and I'm posting this from my G1.
I have a optima redtop no box. Just put it right down in there.
So if the pump needs lubrication to run constantly, why not just run it under boost and put it on a hobbs switch?
It's belt driven, so its always going. The owner of GZ has one on his C5 Z06, and he says it has enough oil vapor in the crankcase when its running that he doesn't need an external source of oil to supply it with.
I'd really want my battery in some kind of enclosure, especially considering it is inside the car. I suppose I could give up some of my precious trunk space... I wonder if I could make this work?
