Default what size injectors/ maf????

I'm rocking an N/A setup on my vette for now, if anything in the future probably spray,

As of now I wana get a nice injector maf setup, just wana know what size I should go for

I was thinkin 42lbs cause I always see the boosted cars havin 60lbs, or if I could go bigger and not have it be a waste of money I would

And want to get a nice maf calibrated with it

So my question is, is 42lbs a good size? Or should I go bigger, and how much power would I be expecting???

What MODs do you have or plan to get???

I have a 230ish 114 LSA cam/ patroit stage II heads and a FAST 90/90 mm TB and Im running 42s My stock ZO6 injectors were maxed out with just headers ported TB and a vararam.

I would stick with the stock MAF. It will handle big HP numbers without any issues.

You,,,, may,,,,, be taxing your injectors a little but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,your MAF is doing just FINE! Dont get sucked in on FORUM and advertising hype!!

Stickers are NOT worth 10 HP each, Sparkplug wires will NOT add 20 HP, Sparkplugs will NOT add 20 HP,,,,,, and the hood seal will NOT add 10 or 20 or 30 HP!

The most bang for the buck is headers,, vararam and a TUNE. Been there and done that,,,,paid the man for the TUNE.

Next set of mods,,,,$$$$$$$$$$ Heads, CAM and FAST 90, 90 MM Throttle Body=== 450 HP

If you're doing a camshaft soon, I would recommend upgrading injectors. 36-42# would work great and leave plenty of room to grow.

I'm still using my stock MAF with a fairly aggressive 383 setup for the track, but you may need larger injectors based on a variety of mods, which will be determined during a dyno and/or street tune where the injector duty cycles are measured and monitored, etc. The tech will provide you a quantified recommendation vs. a bunch of forum "hype" and BS.

In my experience, no aftermarket maf will help -- they will still max at the same point due to the programming constraints in the PCM.

That said, spend that money for a maf on a good dyno tune that customizes your VE table and MAF calibration table -- you will get more power out of that anyway.

As for injectors, you only need "enough" injector to support your HP. Buying bigger injectors won't add any HP.

If you post your HP goals, I'll do the math and tell you what size injector will theoretically support that HP.

Since you have a 2004 C5 you have the larger 28 lbs injectors compared to the earlier C5s. If your engine is stock except for LT headers, exhaust and a Vararam CAI - then your stock injectors will be just fine when adding a large cam.

Its all a guess until you get it on the roar with all the mod in place and do some data logging with EFI Live or HP Tuners. If the injectors run well over 80% duty cycle during WOT, you should benefit from larger injectors Mine were at 90-95 and some times 100% with just headers, VARARAM, ported TB and a tune.

I went with 42 for my heads cam FAST90/90 mods.
