Corvettes of Dallas told me the opposite. I guess they wanted the sale.

I sent out my PCM to have it reprogrammed. I checked the grounds, they seemed alright. But I think I will extend them to a battery ground to make certasin.

thanks

I called them up and spoke to one of the techs and he said to try it again this time take out the fuses again but wait 15 minutes, the instructions were wrong they say 1 minute. Well I did that and nothing. Called them back and the tech was eating lunch and said he never had one that didn't work, then he said it must be the BCM. So I said O.K. and figured I let him finish his lunch. I was very disappointed in them, they were basically no help at all. They didn't even offer to exchange mine to maybe see that the one they sent was bad. The just kept telling me they never sold a bad one.

So now I have spent $50 and still have this same problem. How do I solve it now. I really don't want to spend 600 for the HP tuners program.

It's a 99 convertible, The battery went low and that is when the problems started. The codes are all clear except for BO RFA 1096 H, RFA 1064 H AND RAF 1016 H. These must come up when I pull the fuses or disconnect the battery.
I am so sorry that your Vette is not back on the road. Your stated issue is very easy to remedy with our CLB and quite honestly --- I am surprised you are still having issues. With that said -- let me tell you how Corvettes of Dallas handles problems:

First -- If you would like us to send out a replacement unit overnight and you return the one in your possession -- NO PROBLEM.
IF you want to send it back for a refund -- NO PROBLEM.
I assure you we do not sell these units for the sake of selling units. At the profit margin we make -- it is hardly worth upsetting a customer.

Second, Our tech still thinks it is a BCM issue and has discussed this with you. IF you would like to take your Vette to someone in your neighborhood, we will gladly contact that person and walk them through the remedy -- again -- NO PROBLEM.

Third -- We want you to be back on the road, happy and satisfied -- you tell me what you want us to do -- and if it is fair and reasonable -- I WILL GLADY DO.
Todd

There is a ground at the bottom on ur A pillar that if corroded, will cause CLB issues. Pull the pillar.

Good move man! I hope you meant to get it reflashed back to stock. otherwise youll keep getting annoying DIC messages each time you start the car.

Like I said in the other thread, once you have all GM recalls done, CLB will not help. Perhaps other members said it worked for them however maybe they didnt go to recall #2 yet.

After you get the PCM back, put in the CLB and this nightmare is over

Weird thing is, I had the original recall performed in 2006 and it later locked up in 2007. Towed to dealer, they removed the column lock ring and new K harness, got it back, few days later I had 2mph cutoff. Finally installed the clb and all is good for a over a year now. But I had to get the car towed 4 times altogether for this damn issue.
