I recently bought an 03 Z06 exhaust (mid pipe & rear sections) to put on my 04 auto cpe. The Z parts only have 5K miles on them and are like new. Will the Z06 mid pipe bolt up to my 04 manifolds w/o any problems. I assume the manifolds are the same length? Also, will the sensor go in at the same spot or will I need to lengthen any wires? Is there an advatage to using the Z06 mid section? I tried the search but could not come across a specific situation like this. Thanks in advance.

It's my understanding that the mid pipes are pretty much the same. What you want to do is install the mufflers and you'll be fine.
I installed mine yesterday night and after putting the ti exhuast and the z06 airbox in it, the car feels way more responsive and I can say without a doubt that I notice a difference after cruising around for a couple hundred kms. You'll barely notice the sound difference except when you're on it and at high revs where it has, what I'll describe as, a "tinny flowmaster deceleration sound" to it.
The 04 has pre-cats while the 03 Z h-pipe only has the 2 cats. I can't crawl under the car far to see where the sensors connect to the h-pipe. Does anyone know if the h-pipe bolts up like stock (no length difference) and if any sensors connect in the same spot? Thanks.
