Default Car wobbles from side to side under acceleration

I posted this already in the F/I but did not get any help. I have a 2002 Zo6, 25,000 miles all stock suspension, power train, PS2 tires on stock rims. For 2 years I had a 427 n/a engine in it and when you would floor it it would follow the tracks on the hiway from the big trucks. It was not a big deal till I put a s/c on it and now in 4th gear when you pin it the *** end starts to wobble side to side? Any of you guys that drag race that dont run skinnes up front have this problem? I have jacked the car up twice and used a prybar to check for any abnormal wear with my bushings. It is not spinning or the traction control kicking in, I dont need a wheel alignnment and I have owned the car since new and it never did this since the added power of the s/c. It does it almost every time under WOT. Thanks to anyone for some ideas.

I used to work at a Corvette-only shop, I've seen this countless times. Your rear swaybar end links are shot. Lucky for you it's not expensive. Under WOT the rear of the car will wiggle all over the place.... right? I'm 100% sure this is the cause.

You should baby that car until you change 'em. We had a mechanic almost crash during the diagnosis test drive. The owner let them go pretty far, only said it had "little" wiggle. It was floored during the test drive in 2nd gear and he said it completly unsettled the car. Put new end links on and it was good as new!

I think they cost somewhere around $40

I answered your pm. Also call one of the vendors (LG motorsports, etc) and ask for a 2nd opinion. Inquire on the endlinks and what the car is doing....

Default Wandering all the time

My 2001 roadster with new Michelin run flats wanders all of the time. It does not matter what lane or what kind of road surface.

Help?????????

Sway bar links have nothing to do withe centering the suspension or maintaining the car on a straight track.

I'd start by checking all the suspension components thoroughly and getting an alignment by a good shop.

I would also check the rearend clutches. Sounds like ther not transfering power to both wheels 100% of the time.

I just checked my car against a 2002 c5z with 10,000 miles and my car has no more wear than it for play in the control arm bushings. It feels like one tire is trying to pass the other when it hooks up in 4th or 5th. I will be ripping the diff out and looking it over for clutch pack wear.

Thanks you guys
