Drivers Window - Tech Help Needed
Hi..the drivers side window is making wierd noises when travelling up/down...It still operates but there is a noticeable grinding noise noise. I'm afraid to use it for fear that it will get stuck in the down position...before I remove the door panel does anyone have any suggestions or experience with what the problem may be??

You will probably just have to inspect the window regulator assembly for signs of frayed cables, worn pulleys, etc.
I had one window make a rattling noise and I never did find anything that looked wrong. I thought it might be the drive gears, but they also looked fine.
I finally ended up replacing the window regulator assembly.
If you do not want to spend $200 or $300 for a new assembly, you can have them rebuilt at regulatorusa.com. They also sell rebuilt ones on eBay.
