i recently had my front right tire go flat. i pulled it back into my garage and when i tried to fill the tire back up and drive it around to see if it was leaking/how fast the engine squeeled (probably a belt?) and the steering was loose, it took like 2 complete turns of the wheel to get the streering to turn at all (when normaly you woudlnt even be able to turn the wheel completely around). i checked the fluid it looked ok.. any ideas what could be causing this? thanks

All I can tell you is there is something for sure broke if I'm understanding what you are saying. Are you saying that with two turns on the stearing wheel the front wheels only started to turn a little? If yes, something from the stearing wheel to the rack is busted. Man, that sucks!! Hope you get it fixed.
yea, basicaly its really easy to turn the steering wheel, and 2 full turns of the steering wheel pretty much turns the front wheels the max distance they can turn.. its weird tho, i thought if the power steering goes out its supposed to be harder to turn the steering wheel?

The C5 is two turns to get to steering lock. Doesn't sound like anything is wrong. What makes you think the power steering went out?
