We purchased led light bulb replacements for the C5 convertible from GS Creations. They say they are a direct plug and play, but I can't tell. I am not Mr. Goodwrench by any means, so I ask the question:
Driver's side door panel control module has 4 bulbs to replace. I was able to get the outer two replaced after having to basically shove it in because the leds are too long. I contacted them and they said to look in the hole and make sure the bulb is fitting in correctly. I can't get these two center bulbs replaced after 2 bulbs breaking already. Anyone know what I am doing wrong with such a simple bulb replacement???? Thanks.
I have to do a premium membership. Will post some tomorrow. Appreciate it guys. Also wanted to ask if you have any store recommendations for the Halo Led tailights. Thanks.

No you don't, just sign up to a free picture hosting site like www.photobucket.com. Once you have an account, just upload your photo's to that site. Then copy the "IMG code" for the pic and paste it into the thread when you post it here and the pic will appear in your post.
I'm curious about the pics too, JW Motoring is about to offer replacement plug and play LEDs like you bought from GSC. I've done alot of Door switches but have always done custom work, not using the bulb holders.
You probably just need to shave the tips of the LEDs down, I'm assuming they used 5mm LEDs...

I too have had some minor problems with the carriers (bases) that some of the companies are using. I have had to use an Xacto knife and do a little trimming. I also notice the quality of the plastic is not quite as good as the plastic on the OEM carriers either and will more easily deform if the least bit too much pressure is used by your screwdriver.
In some instances, I have chosen to go as far as remove the led/resistor from the carrier and transfer it over to the old carrier, after first having removed the small incandescent bulb of course. It usually drops right in then. That can get tedious and you should have some tweezers and a very small pick of some sort on hand, but once the transfer is made, all is better. Just have to be careful of any adhesive or glue that also may be present when removing the led/resistor unit.
I just recently purchased some units from Oznium that are "C5 specific" and they seem to be a bit better overall, but even they need a little gentle coaxing too, depending on the specific location.
One nice thing about LEDS is that they pretty much last forever so once you get things the way you like, you can basically forget them.
