Water Pump Question

Water Pump Question
After only one year and about 8000 miles I have to replace my water pump again on my 01/C5. I can't remember what the torque specs are for the bolts that hold the water pump on. Can anyone help out with this?

Water pump should last longer than a year. I hope if you bought a new pump originally, they gave you a replacement for free.
Are you running the right mix of Dexcool and water? The antifreeze has additives in it to extend the pump seal life.

Yep. It shoulda lasted longer than a year. It was a new Bosch Pump. I noticed that cooling was always funky after installing it. Temp was somewhat erratic. I'm gonna try to get a replacement for free. Thanx for the torque specs

R & Red the water pump. I was guessing it was leaking from the shaft, but it looked like it was leaking from the rear plate that covers the impeller. Pep boys honored the warranty and replaced it for free. I also replaced the thermostat while I was at it. I noticed that the temp will still climb to about 235 degrees before the fans kick in and start to cool it down. I can't remember if it operated that way when it was new. Next project is to replace the oil pressure sending unit probably next weekend.
