STRANGE DIC MESSAGE.
Has anyone seen the following message in the DIC. "PULL KEY, WAIT 10 SEC"

Its a 2000 Coupe, automatic. I haven't had any problem with the steering column lock. The error message was gone as soon as I restarted.

I got the message once and pulled the key, popped it back in, all was well. Nothing happened for months. Sure enough, about 3 months later, the column was locked and I was stuck. Luckily, the local dealer mechanic told me how to unlock it over the phone. Basically, if you hit the top right side of the steering wheel w/ the key out and clutch in, then put the key in and try to start it, it'll unlock. Had to do it a few times, but I finally got the damn thing unlocked. I donno how it'd work on an auto.

I have a 2001 Coupe MN6. I had the same message a week after I got home from the dealer. I have read stories about being stuck and having to flatbed the car to the dealer. I installed the column lock bypass No more worries. GM knows there is a problem with this and I have also read the fix is not a fix.
Install the bypass.......Just my opinion.
