Two years ago, my 2002 Z06 developed a leak at the left rear axle. The car had 10645 miles on it. After several rounds with GM, they agreed to pay for 1/2 of the repairs. Last month I noticed the same leak. The dealership advised me their warranty is only good for 1 year or 12K miles. I have put on approximately 2000 miles since the repair. I took the vehicle to an MSI (a supporting vendor for this site) and had the seal replaced. If you look at the old seal, it appears it was the one from the factory. There is a (X) in yellow on the seal.
What do you guys think?
I have a picture of the old seal, but I do not know how to post it.
So, it didn't leak for two years after they fixed it and you think they didn't fix it? I'd say your problem is more likely caused by you not driving the car (1000 miles a year) and letting the seals dry up. I'd be surprised if that's the only leak you have.

Please advise how seals "dry up". We are not talking about very ancient leather seals here.
