You have a bad oil pressure sensor. There are many ways to fix this. I did mine the factory way by removing the intake. There are other solutions such as cutting a hole in the wiper panel under the cowl cover and you can also buy kits that allow you to move the sensor to make it easier to repair the next time it happens. There have been people who have had this happen more than once. Do a search for fixing this.

They are making brass replacements once again for this. I would suggest staying away from an alluminum replacement.

Read my previous post.

Those senders have a brass body with a longer harness standoff than stock. Some people have reported that they got older aluminum bodied ones from Advance (leftover stock). Just pull it out and check first.

I don't know...the last one I bought was alluminum (PS308) as there was no choice at the time. GM stopped producing brass ones which were the originals. I only hear that people are getting brass ones again. If you choose to use an alluminum one, you might want to consider relocating it during the replacement. I did that and there was no further problems.

Personally purchased my Borg Warner brass sender from Advance Auto about 4 months ago.
