Default Valve Seal Problems

We're having problems with exhaust valve seals. Car is 427 C5R, LS7 heads, Kooks long tube headers, high flow cats. I use the car as an instructor for HPDE events & a very small amount on the street.

Rubber/viton on stock seals began deteriorating last year. After track session & sitting for hour car would smoke on initial startup, 2-3 secs, then disappear.

Installed new "upgraded" blue seals over winter. Worked fine until about 1000 miles & 6-8 track days, then the same issue again.

Took valve seals off; 2 exhaust seals had the blue tops burned/eroded away.

Same problem also happened on a friend's 2008 Z06 with the stock seals.

Appreciate any hints on problem/solution(s).

This is a symptom of worn,or improperly machined valve guides. The only reliable way I know of to check this is remove & disassemble the cylinder head.

Have the heads been "worked" on or have they have been left stock?
