Best Shifter for M6 C5?
I am leaning towards the B&M Ripper, just because I've liked the previous Ripper's that I've used. What's your thoughts?

I like the Hurst, and as a bonus the side to side resistance is adjustable. It also has ajustable stops for 2nd and 3rd gear.

Re: Best Shifter for M6 C5? (Cam69ss)
Whichever one is is the car...RIGHT NOW...
All kidding aside, any of the options will work great. My Ripper is very noisey at WOT but I like it so and thus have not addressed it. It is a bit notchier than the rest as well. I agree that it is the hardcore option :D
FYI, there is a little more to it in getting a shifter setup right in our cars than some think so results will vary. Installation is important but also is the condition of the transmission, including linkage adjustment and the clutch system. Some are notchier than others as a result, etc...
Thanks

From posts I have read of guys who have had both the ripper and the kirbain. They say the Hurst is the one to have. Anything is better than the stock one.

Re: Best Shifter for M6 C5? (Cajun75)
There is going to be four to choose from in a few weeks. The Kirban, Ripper, Hurst and Pro 5.0. I am going to wait for the Pro 5.0 to come out and then make a decision. The Pro 5.0 is supposed to have an adjustable height so that shift effort will be adjustable.

Re: Best Shifter for M6 C5? (C5-VERT)
I'm also looking for a shifter and I'm leaning towards buying the Hurst version because of the compliants from owners of the other brands and the write-up from the Hurst owners on this forum.

Re: Best Shifter for M6 C5? (TIMSPEED)
The Ripper is great and no noise with mine. I love it.
Some girls do have a problem using it so if you have a GF or wife, that may be an issue. Also the type of **** is a big factor.
