I have a 2000 6 spd with TPIS headers, magnaflow xpipe, corsa touring, vortex, and a COmp cams 226? 561 112 which was I was told was the Thunder cam? Anway I only got 340 RWHP corrected and I was expecting at least 360-370. I've seen guys with just headers and intake pull 340. does this seem low to you guys. Speedworks did the dyno for me and it shows to be running a little rich but not bad. Also fastech installed everything for me and used the flanges from my stock catback and y pipe to bolt my cats to my headers. Do you think this might be a bottle neck. I ran Kidds car which is an automatic with almost identical mods with a B1 cam and were where dead even. I was faster than his car when I was stock and he had basic boltons so I would figure like mods to like mods i should be faster since he has an auto. Any ideas
That is very low, OliverM5 has a similiar setup and he got 371 at our last dyno day. He has the the Thunder Cam(220/220 114) LS-6 intake and TPIS headers and the ASP Pulley. The pulley and intake could account for 10- 15 hp. Also try another dyno (dyno jet)!
Just because your friend has an auto, don't think he should be slow. Auto with super torque converters are actually faster!
Yeah I agree about the auto. But as of now Kidd doesn't have a stall. I'm really disappointed with my numbers. And from I what was told I thought my lift was higher than 220. It does have a pretty lumpy idle. I just figured if I was faster than kidd with less mods I would still be faster with equal mods. And I really don't think 340 is good for what I have. :cry
I agree I was expecting at least 420. i think I'm going to call Fastech tomorrow to get their thoughts. Garcyea was putting down 370 with a similar setup except he has no cats. Very frustrating. I might bite the bullet and let Speedworks do the dyno tuning on it.
You've put together some nice parts....now it's just time to get things in order. The numbers you want are there, you just gotta find them. I'd start small with a plug check/change and go from there.
Thanks I'm really thinking about going ahead and getting the heads but I want to get this problem figured out first. Wish I had the money for the ATI! :yesnod:

Well, you've certainly got MOD FEVER!..and that's fun but in order to make any combination work properly is tuning. You'll never see the real potential without diligence and a good baseline is extrememly beneficial to have before starting any new mod plans.
