ok so far ive tried, 2 transmitters, one that came with the car and one of a buddy of mine that needed a new batter, new batteries in both, i tried to "Match" the 2 key fobs to the car and ive tried Resynchronizing the fob also. Ive also checked fused 27, 33, and 34 and they were all good. car runs on a daily basis pretty much and battery is a yellow top optima and is good. i just bought the car a month ago and the previous owner said it worked for him, back when he first got it, if that matters. no tire pressure sensors present as ive seen some people refer to those.
Two things. First is that you're using the correct year fobs. The 97-99 fobs have the on/off switch for the passive keyless entry system. The 2000 fobs transmit on the same frequency as the 97-99 but do not have the switch. The 01-04 fobs operate on a different frequency and will not work on a 97-00 car.
If you replaced the battery and the fob will not register with the car most likely the fob has died. Buy a new fob (Gene Culley at gmpartshouse.com seems to have the best prices) or do a search on here for the thread that details how to repair a dead fob.

What year is your car and what are the part numbers of your FOBs?
Haha, before getting to the year , I was guessing its a 2000. Those fobs just plain die, and you will need a year 2000 specific fob. Trust me on this one.
