So I havent even had a chance to figure out the other problem I had with my rear turn signal / Stalker Switch and I get another problem..
I was tapping my horn to say hello to my neighbor the other day and... BIG MISTAKE. From there on the horn stayed on whalling. In fact it stayed on all the way until I got to my destination 5 miles away. Pulling fuse 11 did nothing either. I had to pull the battery to buy me enough time and sanity to manually disconnect the horn itself. Anyhow its a 2000, could anyone pont me in the right direction on how to fix this? I tell you for a car with 60,000 on the clock, im starting to feel like I've had more than my fair share of problems with this C5.
UPDATE!!! So yesturday my brother and I solved the turn signal problem by replacing the MF switch (thank you CF Forum). But now Im still searching for a fix to the horn. I have yet to find the thread about the bad metal ring inside the horn. If its a common problem I would then need to find out the GM part # so I can order a replacement and take on the repair. Thanks again guys! You all are amazing people!
Thanks! I saw this one, but am not sure if that could be it or not. If so I'm curious as to what GM part this is so I can just order a new one. Is it an airbag or is it a horn or something else? I just dont know. I dont even know how I could explain this to a gm service advisor so they could give me the part number. If anyone can help me pinpoint this further, I would be very appreciative. Thanks
That is your problem, and you're not going to like it when you price it. Do a little troubleshooting before you go buying anything, make sure the info you get here is correct!!!!!!!!!
