Hello people.
I have a 93 Chevy Astro Van with a 4.3 v6 engine and a 4L60E.
I would like to know if it will fit a C5 corvette.
Sorry if my question is stupid, but, I'm asking because the code is the same. The thing is they look different, the corvette's is shorter than the astro's, but The astro has three parts.
I need a hand here.
Thanks and congratulations for the forum.
The problem with the tranny is:
It makes strange noises and it doesn't work normal.
It seems to confuse gears. sometimes when I put the D, from stop possition, It starts in 2nd gear, sometime when I'm in stop possition in D with the break pushed, the car seems to try to go forward and the engine stops (like bad clutch in a manual tranny)
I'm not an expert, but I think could be oil pressure problem???

yes, cases are diff., 99% of us have never gone into a 4l60, we won't have the answer, but for now you'll get the cases are diff to fit the TT and diff
In the NE, i have a spare for 450, 2000 w/ 50k miles
I have helped a buddy rework a 4L60e for his project Suburban and he used corvette parts to rebuild it including the servo. Point is, the transmission may work, but as stated earlier, there are instrnal "beefed up" parts in a Corvette transmission that make it able to handle the extra torque.
