I guess that's a no. What's it's overall purpose? (Cleaning up the sound?) The dealers selling them say HP gains. Maybe that's all hype. Any more info is appreciated. I've read many posts but they all don't really clarify what this x pipe really does.

The horsepower gains in exhaust systems are for the overall matched package of headers, xpipe, and high flow mufflers. An x pipe alone won't make much difference in anything but sound because of the restriction in the stock mufflers.
