Background: 98 automatic, 135K miles, dealer recall service done in December 2007. Car sat for a few months and battery went dead. I got a new battery, confirmed it was fully charged. Got the PULL KEY FOR 10 SECONDS as well as the SERVICE COLUMN LOCK messages. Fuel cuts of at 2 mph. Pulled fuses, 22, 23, and 29 individually hoping to reset the BCM but nothing changed. Wheels turn freely with key not in the ignition so it seems the pin has been removed by the dealer.
I read on a sticky that removing Harness K could solve my problem. If so, where is it located (under the steering column?) and how do I identify it?
If you have any other ideas, please let me know. Would like to avoid the dealer if at all possible.
I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death here on the forum but I really appreciate the help.
