I have a annoying squeak coming from the driver rear. It is high pitch and occasionaly will stop for a day or two and then return. It is very sensetive so much so that i can cancel out bushings and bearings! Because you can move the car with 1 finger 1/16th of a mm and it will squeak!
Any ideas? or has anyone come across this with there vette?
Does it get louder if you're turning one way (in your case, probably turning right), especially on sweeping turns? Does it go away when you drive in the rain (if you drive in the rain)?
No it litterally happens regaurdless of what i do! I can tap the back of the car with my hand gentlly and it happens.... I did recently have my drivers side rear axle replaced by GM but thats about it! I looked at all the bushings and the shocks but i cant figure it out?!? I bought it about a month ago and broke the axle because i was an idiot and did a nuetral drop with traction control on but aside from my idiocy i'm stumped?
mine does that also, although its not as sensitive as yours, it takes more suspension travel to make mine do it. let me know if you ever figure it out! I haven't had any luck finding mine yet.

It might be worth having a friend push on the car to make the noise and then you go around the car and find where it is the loudest. I would think you could at least get it narrowed down to what part is making the noise. Keep us posted on what you find.

One thing to check- the top of the shock mounts. My car made a really strange noise while driving, it was squeakin all over the place. But would quiet down when driven in the rain, so I knew it was something on the outside of the car. Turns out there was some corrosion or dirt at the upper shock mount. I cleaned it off thoroughly and the squeek was gone.
