My DIC has gone haywire. It continues to cycle through various different information screens every few seconds. No matter where I start, it automatically goes into this revolving mode. Just started last week. Any ideas?
Well, thats a new one for me. Check to make sure one of the DIC buttons isn't stuck down but that too would be a first. Check the battery voltage to make sure you have at least 12.5 static across the battery. In this case, you might want to reboot the systems by disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds or so. A PM to Bill Curlee is warranted.

Thanks, I was hoping the post would catch Bill's eye.
No stuck button, and battery voltage checks out ok. I'll give the disconnect a try. I haven't yet checked to see if any codes are hitting.

The DIC button control board is most likely shorted inside the bubble strip behind the buttons. Your need to pull the IPC and disconnect the connector that connects the DIC Control buttons to the IPC and see if the DIC scrolling issue stops. Ive never had one apart but I bet it can be disassembled and inspected and possibly repaired.
There are schematics in the service manual on how the button circuits work. You can examine that and with an ohm meter see if one of the button bubble circuits are always closed. I use to have the schematics on DVD but that program went **** UP and no longer works.
Hey Bill, I've had one apart and they are darn near impossible to open up without destroying them. Its not worth it. If the OP can verify its the cause, he should probably just replace it.
Looks like electrical resistance checks are needed to see what switch inside the switch module is malfunctioning to figure out what the next move will be.
