The most common fault is related to the "jumper harness" that goes to the sensor...You can substitute the left and right harness to see if the fault moves (C1226 code),but I would just replace them...Suspension travel causes open circuits in the jumper harness...
Did the problem start after the install of the SS lines??? If you have the Russell's (spelling) that is the problem... those are not grounded correctly. thus the codes..... get the Goodridge SS brake lines I went through the same thing on my car. The dealership spent lots of time figuring it out for me... at no cost even!! :)
The problem started on the way from Palm Desert to Las Vegas on the roads with many dips in the road, in fact I think I was close to being airborne on some of the dips. This was several months and many miles after installing the SS brake line. Thanks for your input.
FYI, my russell SSBL's would throw a code when I hit a slight bump in the road. And other times would just short out at low speed indicating a 9 mph variation for a split second. That variation would throw the code to the EBTCM.
My car had the wheel sensors replaced, EBTCM replaced, and it turned out to be the Russell SSBL's... whatever is happening with your car, I hope you get it fixed! :)
Thanks, it's at the service department as I type. I talked to T. Fong, they (SS Lines) are the Russell Type. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks again.
