Unless he's looking to set land-speed records, I suggest going with something smaller (MS3 or G5X3 come to mind).

Maybe a cam request from comp would be a nice choice. They will be able to give you advances so he can choose which one he likes...

My brother saw a couple of Camaros with the MS4 cam and liked the way it sounded and he also thinks that the price is right for the complete kit.
