Default Vacuum System Diagram

Anyone have one? I think I've got an issue with the brake booster, someone have a diagram floating around out there?

The brake booster's vacuum source is directly off of the intake manifold. One large black vacuum hose.

A “small” vacuum leak in the HVAC system shouldn’t affect the power brake booster.

A small vacuum hose, at the rear of the intake manifold feeds into an electrically controlled vacuum “manifold” that distributes the vacuum to divert the air in the HVAC unit. This vacuum manifold is located under the dash on the HVAC unit.

Maybe the engine’s intake manifold is cracked at the booster hose attachment?

Let us know what you find.

Been a while since I did the Black Hills thing (2005) sponsored by the Sioux Falls Corvette Club. Sure was fun. My lady friend and I went on to Yellowstone, Big Bear area Montana, etc.

I've wanted to do it for MANY years and only got around to it in 2005.

Will do it again someday. Highly recommended to anyone considering it! DO IT!

SpeedyZ posted this a while back. This one is slightly modded.

It's located next to the PCM inside the passenger front fender.
