i own a 2003 50th anniversary corvette , and i was driving the other day and my wipers when on by them selves , did not think nothing of
it. The next am i went to start the vette and i hear whining noise from the motor " its stock " turn the car off , waited for 20 mins and tried to crank it , and it didnt turn and the lights were flashing. any ideas?
Please help... my baby only has 2200 miles on it and its the 008 made.
6 year old factory battery, would place money on that bet!
While you have it out check for any leakage, there is a wiring harness below the battery and that acid (if any leaked) will wreck your day.
By the way, welcome to the forums, see you just joined last month.
thanks chris , i just pulled the battery out and no leaking , goin first thing in the morning to get a battery. also i was going to go get the yellow top , but reading all the reviews , iam going to go with the ac delco , thanks a bunch guys
Glad to hear you have no leaks!
Went to Oreillys to get mine, have had good luck with them and the store is close (one went bad in the other car and they gave me a new one with no hassle).
Don't know what brand it is but have had no issues as of yet.
Let us know if it solves the issues!!
Any time multiple unrelated (but interconnected through the serial bus) systems all have issues at the SAME TIME, it has something to do with the BCM (getting damp/wet from a leak) or the serial data buss shorting out.
The BCM is easy to check. If you were running the HVAC System, condensation from that system can and will drip on the BCM. It DOES NOT like to be wet!!!!
If the SERIAL DATA BUS shorts or gets corrupt, it also can cause any module on that buss to malfunction (freak OUT)

If you got 6 years out of the fact battery- you're doing better than most. Thats where i'd start. If no joy there- Bill does know a thing or two about the C5 platform....! Check BCM and grounds. Many C5 electrical issues can be traced to grounding problems.
