Default C6 wheels on C5

I know this must have been posted a zillion times, but don't spot anything with a search

what does it take to fit C6 wheels (non-Z06) onto a C5 ?

spacers? hub adapter?

Do a forum search. One of the vendors here makes the adapter specifically for this purpose. Its appx 1 in and makes the wheel set flush with the fender. Good looking setup.

what are you trying to accomplish, the look of the wheel or the bigger sizes of the C6?

Only reason I ask is because the C6 rims come in C5 sizes through the aftermarket. Reuse the tpm and tires and you get the look.

BTW, if you are looking for performance, run the smallest size rim that fits over your brakes. Bigger diameter wheels take some distance out of your braking.

I have c6 wheels on my c5. I purchased wheel spacers but did not need them. I have the c6 five spoke style w 285 in the rear.

to change the look and to be able to use new generation run flats

we take 3000-4000 mile trips in the Zee each summer, and would like runflats for that use

thought I understood that the fronts would bolt on directly but the rears need a fairly thick spacer (and longer studs)

i installed some c6 wheels in my z while my new wheels got here. they stick in a little but can be use like that. if u want them to fit flush u r going to need a spacer fot the rear.

I just picked up a 2000 hardtop a couple weeks ago. Still had the original tires on it. Since I had done the widebody on my 08 I had my stock 08 gumby wheels and tires sitting around. I put them on the car and they fit fine. As someone mentioned, the rears sit inboard a little more than the C5 wheels did. I'd love to know who this vendor is that is making spacers for this setup. Also, the C6 pressure sensors obviously don't work with the C5 computer so I'm trying to find information on whether the C5 sensors will fit on the C6 wheels. So far I have not found a definitive answer to this. Anyone have solid info on this?

What did you do about the tire pressure sensors? Were you able to put the C5 sensors on the C6 wheels?

The C6 wheels will fit on most C5s. The rear wheels will set rather close to the rear fender wells, and in some cases, may rub. If this should occur, a 1/4 inch spacer should solve the problem. The C6 wheels fit my 1999 C5, with no spacers, and did not rub.

Yes, the C5 sensors will fit on the C6 wheels.

This is how the OEM C6 wheels fit in the rear wheel wells, as compared to the C5 wheels.

C5 wheels The appearance is really not that much different.
