Default Turning signal / flasher problems

INFO FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE HAVING TURN SIGNAL ISSUES.....

I found the flasher bypass assembly cheaper at adaptiveperformance.com. $49.95 free shipping. From everything that I have read, this is a much better way of fixing the problem. It is much easier to install than a new hazard switch. I just ordered mine today.

the haz. switch is easy to pop out. if you can pull you radio out your vette then you can replace that switch. It took me less then 15 mins. After it was in i found out that wasn't the problem. it is my actual turn single switch..... but good luck !

Go to this web site.
http://www.adaptiveperformance.com/hyper.htm
All you have to do is drop the knee panal right below your steering wheel. Disconect the flasher connectors and insert the flasher assembly bypass.

I know that my hazzard switch is bad, because all I have to do when my turn signals or flashers don't work is to bang my fist on the dash above the hazzard switch and they will start working again. I have done quite abit of researching and the flasher bypass assembly really seems to be the easiest way to fix the problem. This will also help if you ever put in LED lights in your Vette.

Wait a sec. Are you telling me that this is all I would have needed to make my turnsignal come back??? I thought I had to replace the Multifunction 'stalk' Switch?

First mod I did on the car was put this part in after the first day driving it the signals randomly worked.
The Hazard switch is shot too and using it is hit or miss when I played with that to figure out the issue.

This is what I thought also, until I did some researching. Everything that I have read about the flasher assembly bypass has stated that it will fix the problem that the OEM flasher switch causes. It sounds to me that they should do a recall on the hazzard switch on the C5's, since they are having a lot of problems with them going bad. I haven't installed the flasher bypass assembly yet, but I'm confident this will fix the problem.

Are you saying that you put the flasher bypass assembly in, and your still having problems with your turn signals and flasher not working right?
Did you install this assembly between your factory flasher connector located under your dash? The individuals who I have talked with, stated that this solved their problem.
