Weldcraft really know there stuff and I probably have fewer weights on the wheels now than before the widening. Totally happy with their work, but as stated above you will be able to see a little welding if you look really close. I ve had mine for several years and no one even notices the weld marks unless I show them. They add the insert to the back side of the rim so you will need to have a rim that will allow the addition so the offset remains the same. You could also use a spacer in between.

Thanks for the input! I'm going ahead with a set of C5 ZO6 19x11, widened out to 12", with 345/30-19's. The Factory Reproductions color match never seems to be bang on to the OEM pieces, so once I get them back from James at Weldcraft, I'll have them refinished locally at Carcone's. They do really amazing wheel refinishing work. HA! I'll be in about $600/each before tires, for wheels that looks totally stock...The world's full of all kinds.
Thanks for the information, guys. I'll keep u posted as things happen.

I assume you have checked that you have a 1" space behind the wheel to be able to deepen them so as they dont hit the inside of your fenderwheels. Just want to save you some hassle. Hope it all goes well, cheers

I'm going to mini-tub it this winter. I want to keep the outside of the car as close to OEM fresh as possible, so I'm not into flares at all. I have no choice but to add the extra meat to the inside. Tubation complication. I just started a thread about this two minutes ago. I dont like butcher jobs...
My wheels just came in from weldcraft. Awesome. The welding looks real sweet. The paint is sanded away from the weld area by about 5/8". Note how the paint hasnt burned away at all and that there's no discoloration in the aluminum...these wheels stayed nice and cool during welding. Super straight welds. Weldcraft is awesome...nice ppl on the phone and fast shipping to Canada.
Since these wheels are black, I"ve gotta send them in for refinishing with OEM argent to match the 18" speedlines up front. I'll keep you posted

Ahhh...I don't know...seems like the potential for new/old material separation will always be there. Sounds good though. Can you imagine? Rim coming apart while driving? Baddd Day!
