Thinking of running rear 18" thinspokes on the front and having another set of rears widened for the rear. Looking to do something custom without having to drop a lot of coin. Any one run rears on the front? Need to find out if they will work.

I have 265/35/18's on front and 295/35/18's on the rear. The rears may be 40 series, can't remember for sure. My wheels are the ZO6 knock offs of an unknown brand. No TC or rubbing issues and the car is lowered 1"+
I run 4 rear wagon wheels on my 99 vert. 275's on the front and 295's on the rear. lowered all the way on stock bolts. aside from bottoming out a lot on the horrible roads around here no problems.
They fit well. The car is lowered quite a bit, so the outer edge of the tire would graze the fender lip when the wheels where turned full left/right. A little clearing on the inside of the lip, and no more rubbing.
** The one thing you MUST check is brake hose clearance**
I have C6 brakes on it, so this may not happen with stock brakes. At full left/right, the inside edge of the rim will rub against the hose. If the hose is rubber, the wheel will make short work of it. I run stainless lines, which won't wear thru very quickly, but to be safe I made a bracket with a small extension spring to keep the line outa the way.
