If it was immediate, the problem is in the wheels and tires. If there was a delay before the onset, then, as others have suggested, something might have gone out of whack in the suspension.
I just re-read your post....The AH comes on?? Did you get the tire sizing correct? Are the rear tires at least 1/2" larger in OD that the fronts? The computer wants to see that difference.
I'd first answer the questions posed in this post. If you change the size of the OEM wheels/tires, especially with the fronts much larger than the rears the AH or Active Handling will be confused and create havoc.
I just changed my stock GY's for f-stone wide ovals. while they aren't the best tire, they do the job. i post because i started to get AH and ABS messages on the DIC since the tire swap. All tires involved were stock z06 sizes. I think the AH was 'used' to the bald stock tires and it took some adjustment time to recognize the new tires. I haven't had any return DIC messages...coincidence?
Look for a non-run flat with a UTQG of 220 or lower. They will grip better, but wear faster. If you drive in the rain you may have to live with a lower performance tire. I really liked my Kumho Ecsta MX's, but it looks like they have a new tire the Ecsta XS KU36. I have the falken 452s right now, nice tire for the street but does not stick like the MX's. The XS should be even better.
It sounds like you drive your car very aggressively. A new tire won't handle anywhere near as good as a tire that has little tread under extreme conditions. This is why you see people who race in a class that requires a passenger tire sometimes having all but 2/32" of tread shaved off. Also why many race cars use a slick tire. And the brand makes a huge difference. With your driving style, you probably need a soft compound tire like maybe a pirelli? Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you may have to spring for four more tires! Good luck to you sir.

I have heard of something that may be your issue.
There is a small star/retaining washer on each brake rotor. Its designed to hold the brake rotor on if you remove the wheel. The stock C5 or Z06 wheels have an small opening on the mounting surface of the wheel that goes around the washer. IF your new wheels do not have this then your wheels are not sitting flat against your brake rotor, the wheels are crooked because the washer makes the wheel un-level to your rotor.
Take all 4 wheels off... Look for the little star/retaining washer on one or more of your 5 lug nuts. Remove as many of the little washers as you find. They really do NOTHING, and are garbage.
I removed my washers with a brake upgrade I did long before I put on new wheels. I however heard people have issues with what you describe that had never removed there brakes before, or put that washer back on after the brake work.
I will look into that as well. In the meantime, if anyone is looking for some tires... I happen to have some. LOL! Additionally, my original Z06 Speedlines are for sale.
