My check engine light came on today, so i checked the codes and under the pcm it showed po171 h c/ po174 h c. the code is lean bank so how lean is the car when it shows this code. and the suffix h c does that mean current or history. help me out guys.
also just before the light came on i installed a ported maf housing could it be the it is lean or the maf is just wigging out do to the bigger housing, one more thing it did not throw the code untill i got on the car a little bit so that leading me to thank that the car is really that lean. Help if you can thanks

Since it happened right after the install, it could be caused by the ported MAF itself or an air leak. Inspect for leaks between the MAF and throttle body first.
