Squeaking Armrest Console
My car had 12k miles on it when I got it and the center armrest part of the console squeaked. The car now has 45k miles on it and the squeak has never went away. This past weekend I took my car across HWY 129, AKA "The Dragon", in the Tennessee North Carolina mountains. Every turn had the armrest squeaking. It will squeak just about every time you touch the armrest. Setting still or moving.
Has anyone cured the squeaking armrest part of the console or for that matter does anyone else have a console that squeaks?

If it is sqeaking, then something is probably loose, allowing it to move.
Have you checked all the console hold down bolts??
I would push on it to try to determine if it is just the lid that is rubbing against the lower part of the console, or the console is rubbing agains the shifter trim.
If you find where it is rubbing, and tightening the bolts does not correct the problem, you might try putting some thin foam or rubber between the parts.
