Was taking a trip this weekend from N.J. to Washington D.C. and halfway through Maryland my left exhaust pipe came apart at the flange right in front of the rear end. The weld broke and the pipe disconnected. Anyone else have anything like this happen? I had to get the pipe rewelded at a place out in the boondocks and now the pipes are misaligned. I'm bringing it in the the dealer on Monday, it's still under warranty. Hope I don't get hasseled.

Not exactly the same, but my early production 01 has a pinhole/incomplete weld where the flange joins the pipe, same side.
Didn't have the dealer replace it at the time, cuz I was considering a new exhaust system (which I haven't gotten yet)
It hasn't gotten any worse/larger in the last 6 mo.
This happened to me- passenger side at 6K miles. My dealer said he had replaced a number like mine.
I think it has to do with the cadillac exhaust tips. They were engineered not to handle speed tolerances in excess of 70 mph or temperatures below 60 degrees F. That is why you see so many Cadillacs in Florida. The Caddy drivers that I have talked to down here say they haven't had this problem. Guess that proves my point. ;)
