Default **Offical LG GT2 Corvette Rebuild Thread**

Hi guys,

Everyone remembers the scary and horrible fire at Long Beach with Boris behind the wheel of our GT2 Corvette. I am happy to announce that the car is going back together now and will make it's first appearance at the Corvette's of Carlisle show then onto Watkins for it's first shake down runs before Atlanta.

Fire!!

Blasted and Cleaned Frame

Blasted and Cleaned Frame

Frame being Primed

Frame being painted

Frame complete in red

Front Suspension mounted

Rear suspension going together

Center Switch panel stack

Dash rebuilt and ready for install

Pedals, Steering column, and shifter being installed

Louis and myself are going at it pretty quickly now, so I will be updating the thread with new pictures as the car comes together so STAY TUNED!!!

Looks good!! I like the rear suspension pic as it shows how the rear wing is directly attached to the frame.

It uses a GM block, and GM production heads.

Not too much, but we have to use a factory block with no material added, but it can be removed. Factory 823 LS3 castings ported, again, no material added but can be removed. Inlet manifold is open, so we run a mechanical Individual Throttle Body setup, but we are capped to 2 29.6mm restrictors. A little larger than the size of a quarter.

We use a Callies crank, specially made for us. It must be within 10% of the factory crank weight

Rods must be ferrous, and pistons must have 3 rings. Other than that, its pretty much free.

Total cost of engine, dyno tested and supplied with a harness and proprietary calibration is a tick over 70K

That it is, that is the dry sump pump. Cool little feature in that it is built into the billet pan so there are no external pan scavenge lines, it is all built into the pan/pump unit. The only external scavenge is the one from the lifter valley.
