Default LG longtube Headers?

I'm in the market for a set of longtube headers and X-pipe? Everyone praises LG headers and I am curious which model you use. LG PRO, LG SUPER PRO, or LG STREET SERIES? I assume most also use the high flow cats as well. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

I got the LG Streets. Works fine for my application. LG products are top notch. I also got the X pipe and high flow cats. One recommendation would be to get some better clamps for the installation. Some pipe clamps, 4" wide would suffice. The ones that are supplied sucks

You need the torctite clamps with LG headers. Do a forum search, I just went through it w/ my LG streets install. The provided clamps are almost useless.

The quality of the Street series headers is OK.

Go with the street series unless you are planning a full build on your motor.

would streets get the job done with a small-mild cam, 243 heads, ls6 intake
and every once in a while a 125 shot??

I would use the Street Series on a car that is completely stock, or with a mild cam in the 420-440 rwhp range. At that point the Pro's would be about 10 more hp.

For those wanting to do heads and cam I would do the Pro's or the Super Pro's.

All out builds, go with the Super Pro's.

I recently put on the LG streets and High Flow Cats. Not a hard install, trouble spots was getting the headers in place, snaking them up and down a small space. I had even more dificult time changing the fuel filter. Wish I would have done with out the pipes installed, (note to self, if change out your exhaust change out the fuel filter when there is lots of room). I had a few of the typical codes show up. Took mine to a tuner and no codes since (1 1/2 months)

Fit up and Quality was decent, but i don't have any other header to compare against.

Good Luck.

I'm using the Pros. The street version was not avail. when I installed mine. But, I probably would have went the Pro route anyway.

I have had the LG Street Series with HF Cats and X-pipe on my 00 vert for about 7 months now and love them. I am also running the Z06 Ti's and the sound is just right.

Agree with Chevy Guy get the torctite clamps, I did and worked great.

Another of the same opinion here. Very satisfied with performance and sound of the street headers. Tricky to get in but fit well once in there. Only complaint, get new clamps. I used the double wide ones from NAPA. Seal better, easier to install and are reusable.

LG streets are good product. If you go with them and do the install, recommend you pick up a pipe expander to open the ends on the Cats as they are a very tight fit.

For those of us that have installed the streets and realized how bad the clamps are, why aren't you guys changing them?

I also notched mine to allow them to be cinched back up again. Without that, it's just that much harder to seal them again.

I agree w/ the torctite comment, though I was not able to use them everywhere. One was too close to the collector, and the other to the O2 sensor.

The clamps have been upgraded, and with the last revision I have not ran into many problems with them.

I have an '06 with Mid-America Quad Cruiser mufflers and am thinking of getting the LG Street Series.
The Cruiser mufflers create more noise in the cabin that I would like.
Will the headers make it louder yet? Should I go back to the stock mufflers with the LG Street Series? Appreciate your input. Thanks.

I use a Z06 Ti exhaust 2/ a LG Street system. Its almost perfect, could be a bit louder at lower RPMs but there is zero drone in the cabin.

The Header will definitely make the car a good deal louder.

When you say "not ran into MANY problems" I assume there are still some by that statement? What are the issues now with them?

I guess I should re-state that by saying I haven't ran into many since their start. Since the new clamps I haven't had issues with the parts.
