2001 starting problem
3 times now I have had to hold the ignition key to start for several seconds in order to get the car to start. That is, when in start there is nothing, no clicks, nothing, then 3 seconds go by and engine starts right up. I have replaced the battery. Any ideas?

When this happens, is the security light on the IP Cluster still flashing? If so, its not reading your key's pellet. Clean it with a pencil eraser and try again. Otherwise, you are probably due for repair/replacing the ignition switch
