I've done all the searching and can't come up with anything I can use. My horn comes and goes. Every time I get in my car I have to hit the horn to see if I have one. If it works it will keep working until I shut the car off. When I re-start the car I hit the horn and it works(!) or it does not(?). If it's not working it will not start working until I shut the car off. It might take one try or two trys or it's just not going to work anymore today. Next day when I start it up it works or not - it's a crap shoot. It comes and goes on its own schedule. I've checked the grounds; asked the dealer if GM has put out a bulletin on the subject - no luck.
The typical failure heard here is the horn membrane in the steering wheel is having issues. I think it only sends a command to the BCM which in turn sends a ground signal to the horn relay. I'm not sure of that fact and someone else can correct me if I'm wrong. I suppose you could have a hanging up horn relay in the engine compartment fuse box.
When it won't work, listen under the hood for relay click. That will tell you if the trouble is before or after the relay. Post what you find. Relay # 36. Also, push the panic button on the remote, that tells the BCM to activate the horn.

car's having some work done to it. I'll get it back mid-week and try this - good idea about the panic button, never thought of that.
Thanks Byron.
