Default ls2 or 402 cu on C5

Ok here is the deal. The reason for this post is to pretty much get a rough estimate of what power i would be putting down with the following mods. An ls2 or a 402 cu with american racing headers, a pretty big cam(not too sure on which brand to go with), Supercharger or Procharger, Tune, intake, and heads. About how much power should i be putting down?

With a forged assembly, there is no reason you should not be in the 700+ RWHP range.

will it be a forged motor? if so you can get up wards of 750+ out of it then you need to look at tranny and rear and clutch. if its a stock bottom end ls2 you can get in the area of 600+ish with the right tuner.

DO a professonally built forged LS2 stroker motor that will give you 402 ci and will make just STUPID POWER THROUGHOUT the entire rpm band on BOOOOOOOSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!! 800rwhp would be a no brainer with the rigth cent. supecharger, cam and heads, running 17 lbs of boost and tuned by a professional

402

i am a huge fan of 402s. but then need to built right. not on the cheap.

if your going to build a motor, spare no expense. Do it right, get the right parts, spare not expense or just get a LS2 create motor.

^^More power than you will be able to use. Done right with a forged motor should see between 700 to 800 rwhp.

For a cam suggest you consider the ECS blower cam. Pretty popular and effective for S/C vettes.

Big HP motors need or should be refreshed often.

and everyone has different opinions, but IMO mid 500 rwhp on an HONEST SAE certified dyno

anything over upper 500s to 600 will need LOTS AND LOTS of care. ie rebuilt often.

plus that much is just a PIA to drive.
