Anybody else get the GHL's lately and have trouble with getting them aligned just right? I've spent a couple hours just on aligment and can't get them just right. When I get the "cans" nice and level, I can't get the tips to be level and square (same discharge angle) to each other. They're close, but not perfect. It must be a right side of the brain thing.
Any insight appreciated. I know this is a hard one to help with.

One thing you may try is to use a length of 2 x 4 on a floor jack, loosen all the clamps, and gently raise the floor jack to get the tips lined up. Then carefully tighten the clamps. It may take a try or two to get it right, but it worked for me!
I can't be of any help, but I'm concidering the GHLs so I want to hear what others have to say about their install issues. I heard of member had to exchange the right side, but still didn't get it right.

Was that recent, or a long time ago that they had to exchange?
I installed my GHL's about a month ago now, and the driver's side went on very nicely, but the passengers side gave me fits! I ended up loosening everything up from the headers back and literally tightening up every nut, clamp, etc. a quarter turn at a time until they lined up right. I still can't say what was specifically "wrong", but after 5 hours of taking them on and off, I finally got everything lined up right. It came down to how far each piece was slid into the other, bending the tabs that go in the rubber mounts in the back, etc. I used a long piece of tape across the back to give me a straight line to attempt to get them straight and sticking out the same amount. Sorry this probably doesn't help, but it just took a lot of time. Oh, and definitely use nice band clamps from Napa because I snapped the ones that came in the box. Good Luck
I had nothing but problems with installing my GHL's. I called the company I bought them from and they never called me back. I e-mailed them pictures showing the problems I had with the fit and never received anything back. I had to go to a muffler shop to cut and adjust the pipe to fit correctly. $100.00 later I had a perfect fit. Long story short I will never buy GHL again!!!

I did not get the exact time frame, but it seemed to be within the last year or so. I figured / hoped they must have corrected any issues by now. My understanding is he sent back the right muffler/assembly?
I did a lot of research on here BEFORE I bought my GHL's and I didn't really see a lot of fitment issues which is a big reason why I took my Magnaflows off for these.... I wish I would have seen some of this first cause it might have changed my mind, but if you like a loud rumblling exhaust, these are definitely that, it just took a long time to get them all straightened out. Let us know how they turned out, and to everyone that had problems, can you let us know how they turned out in the end? I'm hoping there were no longstanding issues after you guys got them on the car.
I have had GHL billets for about a year and a half. I have received a lot of compliments on the musclecar sound. It's definitely the sound you want coming from a corvette. Drone is largely abscent a cruising speeds (though there is some but easy to ignore).
The installation was fairly easy, I had a lift. Getting them lined up takes some moving around. The GHL catback is made up of several pipes connected by metal bands. I made the bands just tight enough so I could twist or rotate them in place, but they would hold position once I let go. I just kept twisting the pipe sections until the tips lined up and had proper clearance.
I'm still mad that I was ignored regarding the very poor fit I was having on the "Right" side durning installation. I had sent "CCA" pictures showing them the problems I was having. A lot of good that did. In the end I had to take the unit to a muffler shop and have them do some cutting and welding in order to make it fit right!. When I told CCA about the extra cost, I was all but ignored. Thanks GHL and your sales reps!!!
The next time I am in the market, I plan to go else where.
