Default need help!!!! throttle body question

hey guys im looking to buy i new throttle body for my c5 so i can get some better response time. preferably a 90mm. a buddy of mine told me i could just buy a ls2 throttle body and that it would just plug in and go. i wanted to see if thats the case or if im going to need other parts to make this thing adapt to my engine. can anyonme help? also found aq guy selling the ls2 throttle body for $250 is that considered a good price? thank in advance for the help

I do not believe that the LS2 TB "bolts on" to the LS1/LS6 manifold. Also, the electrical connector is different, though there is a converter (one of the vendors sell them)...You will need to have it tuned..

What makes you think that this modification will better your response time (I'm not really clear on what you mean by this anyway). The thottle body diameter is enlarged to accomodated for increased air flow as a result of either increased displacement or operating at a higher RPM range. Without modifying anything else, I believe you will not achieve any gains.

I give.....ask your buddy to explain in detail how a 90mm throttle body is "plug-n-go" on a stock C5 intake.

LS2 TB will NOT fit a stock LS1/6 intake manifold PERIOD! The LS2 TB needs a TPSI modified intake or a FAST 90 or FAST 92 intake.

Like previously stated, on a stock or lightly modified C5,,,that 90 MM TB will do little or nothing for you. Your best bet would be to install a good ported C5 TB.
