Default Adding a power outlet, need help

I need to add a power outlet for my new mobile phone charger/speaker. I'm going to remove the ash tray and put it in this spot so the charger will be over the cup holder. I'm planning on splicing into the cigarette lighter connections but I'm not sure how to remove the console trim around it.

There is a small hole where I can see the wires. Has anyone disconnected the wires through this hole? That might be an easy solution.

Thanks in advance.

Ash tray doesn't come out, well it does with a dremel. There are three screws (two in the ash tray) and behind that plastic cover by the steering wheel. Take those out and the dash pops off.

the wires for the cigarette lighter in the center console are easier to get at. Remove the active handling switch (it pops out) The wires for your cig-liter are in there.
