i am about to pull my hair out over a belt squealing issue. it is quiet til i hit the throttle then it sounds like a well you already probably know anyway i was wondering if its a tensioner issue water pump or even a certain pulley? this is killing me and not to mention just plain embarrasing!!!

Had the same problem, only mine would do it at idle. Mine was the a/c idler pulley. (a/c on or not) If it does it EVERYTIME you get on it, start at the bottom with the adjuster and spray some WD-40 on it and take it for a ride. If it still does it, move to the next pulley...once the squeeking stops, you'll know which to replace. That's what I did

i replaced the lower pulley when i did my h/c swap and the top pulley about a month before the swap and it still made the noise after each swap. the only thing is after replacing the top pulley it wouls scream til it warmed up or after about 10 mins now it wont shut the hell up i was wondering if it could be the idler arm?
Don't know of anything I can offer, as you appear to have covered everything. My son and I are going to try and solve this same problem on his car this weekend. This will not be the first time and I'm sure not the last. If we discover anything, will post it here.

tried that and it still sounds like a cat screaming under my hood
I'm still confused on the squealing sound. The noise is now gone from my son's car after doing the following. Removed the "NEW" serpinetine belt and re-installed the old belt. Removed the old a/c belt and installed a new belt. Problem solved. No noise at all. Went thru this several weeks ago with the big belt. Guess we'll wait and see what happens in a few weeks. One thing I might suggest is to check and see if all nuts, bolts, etc are tight on the pulleys, etc. Know it's a shot in the dark, but might not hurt. Did this today. All okay.
this is what the car is doing exactly. i start it and it screams like a cave of bats! and gets really loud when hitting the throttle. after about a hour or so it calms down to a chirp and sometimes just stops making noise all together. its got me puzzled
Run it ith the a/c belt off, and see what happens. If it still does it, run it with the big belt off and see what happens. It wont hurt just for a minute.

You know mine is doing the same exact thing and driving me crazy also.
I have already repaired this issue before by replacing ac idler, and tension pulley as well as replacing the dampener/ balancer.
Now the damn noise is back after a few months with new gator belts installed at that time as well.
Nice, so this tensioner lets you dial in more spring pressure? I'm convinced the stock unit doesn't have adequate pressure because I've seen belts jump off relatively new, low-mileage LSX engines just from driving hard.
I've had an intermittent squealing problem. It always goes away when the engine heats up though. I noticed that it starts whenever I've had to drive through heavy rains. Looking in the engine bay, the crank pulley isn't even a foot away from the pavement and there's nothing shielding it down there. What I suspect is happening is road water splashing up on the belt is depositing oil & crud on it lowering its friction. Then I get to listen to it squeak at startup for the next week or so. What I have done which seems to work for me, is the morning after I've had to drive through heavy rain, with the engine idling, I take a rag, make a wet spot in it with Prestone belt dressing, and then I CAREFULLY and firmly hold that wet spot to inner surface of the belt. I also use my fingernail to try to push it down into the ribs. This takes care of my squealing until the next time I have to drive through an 8" deep puddle. Gotta love the Sunshine State!
