Ported LS6 head and cam question?

Like someone said before it could of been from a compression bump from thinner gaskets or having them milled...when I went from ls1 200cc to ported 220cc I too had no loss from 4k and below, but I had also increased the compression almost a full point which helped counter a loss in lowend I'm sure...a smaller cam with an earlier intake closing point will build more cylinder pressure thus making more torque down low, but also peak earlier and make less topend power
