Default C5 Z06 Headers Question

I'm new to the 'mod' world but does this price/package sound like a good deal? What kind of hp increase should I expect?

Headers + Install + Tune$2,450.00

Dynatech Headers + Install + Tune

Includes before dyno, 1 3/4” or 1 7/8” primaries, high flow cats & X, oxygen sensor extensions, Stage 8 locking header bolts, NGK TR55 spark plugs and a full in house chassis dyno & road tune.

I went with ARH 1 7/8" (headers, xpipe, etc), install was 300 and tune was 400 after install.

I got a street tune after, so don't know HP increase. Could def feel the power though and the sound difference is awesome!!!

Sounds expensive to me. Go with LG street headers. More power and much better pricing. You could try installing yourself and save some more, plus you get to learn hands-on more about your car. I did my install myself and it's not difficult if you take your time.

I agree sounds high $$$ surely a result of our "corvette tax" Even some of the best hdr packages are only $1200. which include an X pipe--extentions maybe $50 installation 4 hours --$300 -- Hi flows can range between $120 to $400--so that makes about -- Tune should be at the most only $450--
I would go with only 1 3/4 " on a stock cubed motor or for a motor revving up to 6200 or less--Too large and you will lose bottom end--
I like the TSP hdrs--I would also ditch the hi-flow cats--The maybe extra 5 HP isn't worth the money--
Hdrs i would spend about $900
x-pipe (magniflow universal) $150
Extentions $50
labor (4 hours) $300
Dyno & driveability tune $450
TOTAL $1800

Thanks for all the great information. Looks like I need to do some more research and get prepared to have dirty hands. DIY is best assuming I don't break 2 things putting in 1!

I paid 1300 for headers, high flow cats, x pipe, bolts, clamps from LG (streets btw)
$130 for new O2 sensors, did not really need.
spark plugs $4 each I think (ngk tr55)
$450 dyno tune
exhaust gaskets, tail pipe and header around $30 total
Band aids - $2 (couple of tight spots getting things in and out)
My wife enjoyed helping, priceless.

As far as HP gains, 20-30 is typical. Most don't really know cause most don't have a tune before you put the headers on and you don't know how much is just picked up in the tune itself.

good luck
