Regardless of which way you go,,it's a tight squeeze if you have larger hands!! My drivers side fog and passenger side turn went out,,so I bought them all and changed them!! Raised the aim on the fogs while I was at it!!
If you don't might scratching up your arms, you can try to change the bulbs by going in through the headlight opening.
One other catch is that the lights have to be on to keep the headlights up, and the bulbs will be HOT.
The correct way, and less painful way, is to remove the access panel below the light assembly. The opening is large enough to remove the whole assembly, so you will have not problems changing the bulbs. It takes a little longer, but I think it is well worth it.
If you don't want to jack the car up, you can go in through the top. I'd suggest loosening the entire headlight assembly to give yourself room to work. If you have even average sized arms, it'll be a tight fit through there with the assembly in place.
I just replaced mine through the top. I removed the black headlight shroud and had enough room for the task. Be mindful of fragile bulb glass; mine broke removing the old one but luckily I didn't get cut.
