Cost to Widen a Wheel???
I'm thinking of having two 18 x 10.5 C5 Z06 wheels widened to 12 or 13 inches to fit a 335 or 345 tire for road course usage on the rear of my C6Z. Could use some help:
1. What should I expect it to cost;
2. Any suggestions on who could do the work?
I already have the wheels and am thionking this might be more cost effective than buying CCW's or another brand.
TIA.
Rick

What's the benefit of widening as opposed to just buying new wheels?
This would equate to around $2000(9.5" wide to 11.5" wide) and 3 weeks to widen a set of wheels.

I'd also imagine that they wouldn't be as strong as factory.

its cheaper and as strong
its not per 1" that's just what i wanted to goto for the rear so i could run a wider tire. most just widen the rear tires to run a wider tire.
