Default Horn Question

I need to replace my horn and I cannot get one that has the adapter that the plug plugs in to. I bought one at Autozone, part h100 and the picture of the item shows the adapter, but when it came in, the adapter wasnt there. What have you all done when replacing your horn? I would rather not cut the plug off and hard wire it, and would rather not spend $50 or more for a horn from AC Delco, but would like to keep the car stock too. Any ideas would be helpfull!

Thanks!

go to salvage yard, or parts store, and get the ends you need and make your own adapter

probably just the high note for now. Will wait on the low note.

Our salvage yard here doesnt have any vette parts. What vehicle would have the same horn and probably have the same adapter?

Just checked and Fichtner Chev has one in stock. The "high" note carries a GM part number 89046917 and is a Delco piece. It is a horn "kit" and according to Fichtner, GM has been going to a more generic horn application for several years now. This same horn also fits other GM vehicles up through '10. Some come with the wire splice connection if needed and some even have a new mounting bracket in the "kit".

The price is: $37.84 plus shipping. Call Bob in parts at 1-800-234-5284.
